The Tip of Texas Counseling Association (TTCA) is a local chapter of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and conducts its affairs in compliance with the bylaws of that organization. TTCA membership includes mental health professionals across the field of counseling such as School Counselors, LPCs, LMFTs, college students, and retired mental health professionals. TTCA is proud to serve the Tip of Texas, which includes all of Cameron County: Brownsville, Harlingen, Los Fresnos, San Benito, Port Isabel, South Padre Island, Laguna Vista, La Feria, Primera, and Olmito. All are welcome to join and be a part of a group of committed professionals who love to dedicate their lives to helping others.

Benefits of Participation in TTCA:

  1. Expand your network and collaborate with mental health professionals in the private sector, agencies, and school counseling.
  2.  Advance your knowledge and expertise by attending professional development opportunities and earn CEUs. Professional meetings are held quarterly. Opportunities to attend in person or zoom will be available to provide flexibility for all. 
  3. Inclusivity is a priority at TTCA. Feel heard and receive support from other mental health professionals. Get a chance to sit, eat, and relax with others.
  4. Stay informed with current topics of interest regarding Mental Health through TTCA Professional Meetings, TTCA’s Quarterly Newsletter, and social media posts. 
  5. Advocate for the counseling profession and mental health  by staying abreast on issues relating to legislation.
